Hot Headed Underachiever Andrew Helm, WA, 2/6/08 I didn't know much about McCain or his positions when the race for the Republican nomination began, so I did some very rudimentary research: I looked him up on Wikipedia. He's Gotta Win First
Block, Minneapolis, MN 1/31
I was reading about someone hoping that McCain wins that he'll choose Guiliani as VP. But you know what, McCain's gotta win first. Romney's got a sure fire shot, and heck. I wouldn't mind seeing Huckabee in power. McCain's got some things to work on. For example, McCain opposes abortion rights except in the cases of rape/incest. Why would you take away a baby's right to live even in that case? Abortion is killing a child and that child deserves to live just as much as any of us do. Also his stance on gay marriage is questionable to me. I agree that we have our choice to choose what we do. That is what America was founded on, but was this country not also founded to be based on God? God says that marriage is to be between a man and a woman. Why not make a law so that we are not "tempted" to upset God? Don't get me wrong though, McCain is not the worst candidate running. I would vote for McCain any day before Obama or Clinton.
